Professor Dr. Miguel Merino Arends has a degree in Dentistry from the Central University of Venezuela, he held his Clinical Residence in the Department of Orthodontics at the Hospital San Juan de Dios (HSJD). He get the Master degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics by the Autonomous University of Barcelona, in Spain (UAB). Clinical and surgical training at the University of North Carolina in USA (UNC) under the tutelage from

Dr. William Proffit.

He work exclusively in Lingual orthodontist trained at WIN Lingual Systems with Prof. Dr. Dirk Wiechmann as his mentor in Bad Essen, Germany.

Academic Director of the European Dental Institute, founder of Grupo Sonríe, Medical Director of the dental clinics Sonríe - Estudio Dental in Barcelona, head of the Department of Orthodontic in DKV Dental Clinic, chairman of the Master in Orthodontics at the Catholic University of San Antonio (UCAM). Author of a significant number of published articles, hes also speaker and lecturer in several Scientific meetings.
